A Man Of The Book

 A Man of the Book

The Book that I'm talking about
is not The book of the week, the
book of the month, the book of
the year, the book of the decade,
the book of the century or the
book of the millennium; it is the
Book of the Ages.

This Book is not in the experimental
stage;
it has been tried and
proven. I challenge every Preacher
to rise above the Plane of mediocrity
 in his ministry.
Heed the words of the apostle
Paul when he wrote to Young
Timothy: "Make full proof of thy
ministry" (2Timothy 4:5).

Every preacher needs to be a
man of character, not caprice,
a man of courage, not
cowardice; a man of conviction,
not compulsion; a man of com-
passion, not callousness. I encourage-
every man of God to rethink
where he is,  where he would like
to be and where he ought to be
in his ministry.

I know that this was written for preachers.
But every believer is encouraged
to do the same.  Though preachers have
a greater responsibility,  every Christian
should apply these principles to their lives
as well.
